ALLEN MEADOWS 91-94 & SWEET SPOT OUTSTANDING: The whole cluster (70%) vinification is on display as the wonderfully spicy and floral-suffused nose of various dark berries is elegant and beautifully layered. The super-sleek, sappy and attractively textured middle weight flavors also flash an abundance of minerality on the palate soaking, balanced and youthfully austere finale. This firmly structured effort is both quite stylish and very classy. Drink 2033+. JASPER MORRIS MW 93-95: More than half whole bunch. A fine imperial purple with a beautifully rich floral nose, peonies more than roses, deliciously uplifted with a glowing generosity but adequate acidity, natural, which it needs for keeping the balance. Maybe the whole bunch proportion is driving this, but this wine also fully delivers the hedonistic side of Caillerets. Drink from 2032-2040.
